Cover Reveal (#14)

I think Cass has left the best till last! The cover for The One, the last installment in The Selection trilogy, has finally - finally! - been revealed - and damn if it isn't gorgeous!

158443621050729316248068

Despite the fact that this trilogy and I have a love-hate relationship, I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the covers. Actually, if I based my favourite reads not on the content but on the covers, then these three would definitely be in my top ten! Just look at how they all match up, and how incredibly pretty they are! Gah, I want it already *grabby hands*

I've got to admit, I have high hopes for The One. The previous two books were good, but I've always had difficulty both with the love triangle and with the main protagonist, America. Since the series is coming to it's climax, I've got my fingers crossed for Cass to give it all she's got and maybe give us the happily-ever-after we've all been dying. Watch this space, guys! Watch this space...

Cover Reveal (#13) + Giveaway

I'm trying not to shriek with excitement (because lets face it, no one wants me deafening them, do they?) I've followed the Tragic trilogy from the first blog tour, and it's my pleasure to reveal the cover for the last instalment, Panic.

Rook is chasing her dream—film school and a chance at a life beyond the one she left behind six months ago. But before she can become the girl she wants to be, she must deal with the girl she left behind.

Ronin is also chasing his dream—a family of his own and a life away from erotic modeling. And he too, has a past he’s trying to forget. A past that makes Rook question everything about their life together.

Lies, secrets, and shocking truths will rock the foundation Rook and Ronin have built. Can they put the past behind them and move forward together? Or is this just another too good to be true relationship that will crash and burn in the end?

DOUBLE Cover Reveal (#12)

So my combined suck and busy schedule have meant that I didn't have a chance to post this on Wednesday, but hey - better late than never? Today I have two cover reveals for you, both from upcoming books by the amazing Liesel Hill.

Five months after traveling to a post-apocalyptic future where collectives reign supreme and individuals have been hunted to the verge of extinction, Maggie Harper was returned to her own time until the threat to her life could be neutralized. She thought Marcus and the others would return for her within a few weeks, and now she’s beginning to worry.
Quantum Entanglement (Interchron #2)
When travelers from the future finally show up to collect her, it’s not who she expected. With the return of her memories, she wants more than ever to see Marcus again, but a snake-like woman whose abilities are a perfect match for Maggie’s, an injured Traveler, and decades of civil unrest to wade through all stand in the way of their reunion.

Meanwhile, Marcus and Karl traipse through the countryside, trying to neutralize Colin, who’s promised to brutalize and murder Maggie if he can get his hands on her. When a collective woman is left for dead, Marcus heals her, hoping she’ll be the key to killing Colin and bringing Maggie back. But she may prove as much a hindrance as a help.

The team struggles to get their bearings, but things happen faster than they know. The collectives are coalescing, power is shifting, and the one called B is putting sinister plans into action. If the team can’t reunite and get a handle on the situation, their freedom and individuality—perhaps their very identity—will be ripped away before they can catch their breath.

I read Persistence of Vision back in February, and I fell absolutely head-over-heels in love with it! Unlike most New Adult novels, the Interchron series isn't the typical bad-boy-gets-the-girl scenario. The novels switch place between modern-day and the post-apocalyptic future, and the characters each have these weird but totally amazing powers (that I am incredibly jealous of!) I love it when books in a series look similar, and Quantum Entanglement is no exception - I may even like it more than the prequel? The gorgeous cover combined with the synopsis promises an amazing read, which I honestly cannot wait for.

Cover Reveal (#11)

His world is music…

…Her world is silent.

Ali Blinde was a prodigy destined to become one of the greatest musicians of the 21st century.
Until the brain tumor struck.

Now seventeen, Ali lives in a soundless world where she gets by with ASL and lip-reading. So when she meets Jace Beckett, she thinks he’s her worst nightmare come true. Jace is the lead singer in the wildly-popular band, Tone Deaf, and he’s exactly the kind of success-story Ali hates and resents.

Nineteen-year-old Jace has it all: fame, money, and any girl he wants. Every night on tour brings a new performance and a new girl, which is just what he needs to avoid the pain of relationships.
But when Jace learns Ali is being abused, he reluctantly proposes a solution: Run away with him and his band as they tour the country. With freedom in sight, Ali takes the offer. Immediately, she’s swept into a world filled with wild punk music, wilder musicians, and maybe—just maybe—love.

How many teenage girls get to say that they're an author? That's what first drew me to Tone Deaf, a new adult romance set to hit the shelves November 4th 2013. I mean, even before I saw the cover, I wanted it. I don't like cliché contemporary romances, as I like my stories with a bit more depth. Tone Deaf is a contemporary romance, but the story promises to be so much more than simply boy-meets-girl-falls-in-love.

Cover Reveal (#10)

Now I read Megan Miranda's Fracture earlier this month, so I was quite surprised when suddenly there was this huge hype surrounding something called Vengeance? Yep, Miranda decided to make Fracture into a series - something I'm half-excited by, and half-confused by. For me at least, Fracture ended with all the i's dotted and t's crossed - what more could possibly happen?

Vengeance (Fracture, #2)
Nobody really believes in a curse. Until you know the people who disappear. Too much coincidence, you look for reason. Too much death, you grasp for something to blame.

Carson pulled Delaney out and he died on the side of the road with her mouth pressed to his. Her air in his body.

Troy. She told the cops it was suicide. Didn't matter. The lake released her and grabbed another.

But when Decker's father dies in a pool of spilled water on their kitchen floor, all Decker can feel is a slow burning rage. Because he knows that Delaney knew that his dad was going to die. She knew and backed out of his house and never said a word. Falcon Lake still has a hold on them both, and Decker can't forgive Delaney until he knows why.

Well, that, apparently. The synopsis promises something interesting, but I'm still not totally convinced! And I don't want any hate between Decker and Delaney! Anyway, one thing I am convinced on is the cover - isn't it gorgeous? It matches Fracture perfectly, and I'm already picturing the copies side-by-side on my shelf!

Cover Reveal (#9)

PanicYesterday, the cover of Panic by Lauren Oliver was revealed! I am a massive fan of her books - there is just something about her writing that is crazily addictive, and you can guarantee that anything of hers will be well-written and compelling.

There were several things that drew my eye to the cover. First, the fonts - they are typically "Lauren Oliver" fonts, as in they are used on a lot of her book covers. I like it, though; without even reading her name, a part of your subconscious knows it's by her, which is pretty cool.

A lot of Oliver's book covers are quite detailed, so it was quite a shock to see how plain this cover is. However, it isn't boring - the simplicity of the cover draws the reader's eye towards the girl. Her face is covered, and she is pretty much a mystery - just like this 'Panic' that is mentioned in the synopsis.

Cover Reveal (#8)

I've been a fan of the House of Night series for years, and although Hidden is waiting (unread!) on my shelf and I am growing tired of the repetitive aspects of the saga, I still get all excited and shrill over cover reveals! Because come on - the HoN books always look gorgeous!

I'm loving the contrast between the picture and her name - it says Revealed, yet she's hidden. The thing I think I love most about this cover is it's continuity with the rest of the series - I love it when a series actually looks like it's a series. Of course, I'm making a dig at the UK covers - for nine books we  had the same cover, and then BAM! Hidden has a different cover. It was unnecessary, and now the series looks stupid on my shelf (ah, the problems of a bookworm!) I like that the US covers have kept up appearances.

Drastically altered after her fall at the end of Hidden, Neferet is now more dangerous than ever—and her quest for vengeance will wreak havoc on humans, as well as Zoey and her friends. Chaos is loosed in Tulsa and the House of Night is blamed. Can Zoey stop Neferet in time to keep her anger from escalating to full-on war? Or will someone else have to step in to take the fall?

Cover Reveal (#5)

SQUEE! I am so so so excited for this book to be released! Back in October, I took part in a blog tour for Debbie Dee's novel, The Last Witch. I absolutely adored it, so when Debbie contacted me about a week-long cover reveal for the sequel, The Underground Witch, how could I refuse?

As the last of the Incenaga Witches, Emmeline has been tortured, abused, and forced to use her power to kill. But unlike the Incenagas before her, she has survived. With her freedom restored, she should feel safe, invincible even. After all, she has the protection of Erick’s army and a power strong enough to obliterate any enemy. Yet Emmeline lives in fear for the next person who will try to control her, and no one can seem to find the tyrant threatening to claim her.

Until it’s too late.

With everything on the line, and the enemy at her throat, Emmeline has no choice but to convince Erick she no longer loves him (or risk him following her) and disappear with the one person she vowed to hate. But when she finds a way to take back her freedom and fight for Erick, will Emmeline be able to use her power like never before? Even if it kills her?

In The Underground Witch, the second novel of the Incenaga Trilogy, Debbie Dee delivers enough adventure, heartbreak, and suspense to captivate readers at every turn.

Cover Reveal (#4)

I was so excited for this cover reveal! I have followed Josephine Angelini's Starcrossed trilogy from the very beginning, and I even managed to get my hands on a proof copy of Dreamless, the second installment. So it is needless to say that I am even more excited about the last release, Goddess, where everything will come to a climax - and if this cover is anything to go by, it should be amazing. Here's the Goodreads synopsis:

After accidentally unleashing the gods from their captivity on Olympus, Helen must find a way to re-imprison them without starting a devastating war. But the gods are angry, and their thirst for blood already has a body count.

To make matters worse, the Oracle reveals that a diabolical Tyrant is lurking among them, which drives a wedge between the once-solid group of friends. As the gods use the Scions against one another, Lucas’s life hangs in the balance. Still unsure whether she loves him or Orion, Helen is forced to make a terrifying decision, for war is coming to her shores.

Cover Reveal (#3)

This cover was revealed yesterday, but I've only just gotten around to posting it. It wasn't one of my favourite books of this year, and I actually found it disappointing. But I am still really excited for The Elite by Kiera Cass, the second installment in The Selection trilogy. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.

America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending.
