Follow Friday (#6)


Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read where you meet and follow different bloggers.

Question of the Week: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day. In celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

 Oh, wow. Okay, where do I start? I love Molly Weasley and her children - she cares for them and looks after them no matter what, and I think those relationships are possibly some of my favourites in the Harry Potter series.I also love the relationship between Terra and Lois in the book I have most recently read, North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley.


But my favourite mother/child relationship is probably Amma and Ethan, out of the Caster Chronicle series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Although Amma isn't his mother (for his mother passed away) their bond is so tight and strong, it might as well be. Whenever I read about the two of them, I crack up into tears (okay, not every time. But a lot of the time.)
