Question of the Week: What book genre do you avoid at all costs?
Oh gosh, I don't really avoid a specific genre...I used to hate books that were set in the past, but now I love them..I suppose I avoid overly sci-fi books and any book where the characters are strongly religiously opionated, because I find it boring and irritating.
Also, at the moment I seem to be avoiding vampire books. Ever since Twilight, I've found that a lot of vampire novels are basically copies of it, and have very dull and repetitive storylines.
So what book genre's do you avoid?
Scifi books aren't really my thing either. I'll pick them up, as long as they're YA and give them a try. I was surprised how much I liked Across the Universe. And I totally agree with you about the vampire comment. It seems that whenever a topic gets really popular amongst books we see about 50 stories with the same plotiling come out at once. I start getting really selective on which vampire books I'll get nowadays.

New follower here. I don't mind a bit of sci-fi, as long as it's not too heavy. Non-fiction was my choice.

I wasn't the biggest fan of sci-fi until the summer, since then I've read quite a few. I agree with you on the twilight comments.
ReplyDeleteI totally get ya! Vampire is not my thing anymore.
