Top Ten Tuesday (#9)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the girls over at The Broke and the Bookish, where bloggers get together and list the top ten things related to that week's topic.

Top Ten...Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show (set in a perfect world...in which movies don't butcher the books we love)

THERE ARE SO MANY TO CHOSE FROM! Um um um

  1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (film) - This film would make me cry so bad, but I want it anyway! That's a bit masochistic, isn't it? Hmm.
  2. The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout (TV show) - Daemon on screen? Yeah, I think I could live with that.
  3. The House of Night series by P. C. and Kristin Cast (TV show) - The series is too long for a film franchise in my eyes, so do what they did for True Blood - a TV show! And I wouldn't mind seeing James Stark in the flesh...
  4. All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill (film) - This is an action-packed book that would turn into an even more action-packed film.
  5. Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter (film) - There will never be enough zombie films, and I fancy seening who they would cast for Cole.
  6. The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare (film) - Since they've made the TMI film, I'm sure they will eventually get around to TID - but I need it now! (cough, I need Jem now, cough)
  7. Wither by Lauren DeStefano (film) - I want more dystopian books turned into films. First The Hunger Games, now Divergent, next...Wither?
  8. Gone series by Michael Grant (TV show) - Now that I've got this idea in my head, I want it to happen. Could you imagine this? It would be one of the most tense and crazy TV shows ever!
  9. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (film) - I'm guessing this would be similar to the Girl, Interrupted film, but I want it anyway.
  10. Ink by Amanda Sun (TV show) - I want to see this book as an anime series. Not only is it set in Japan, but I think it could be the next Death Note.

So I finally narrowed it down to ten books/series (finally meaning an hour later). So what books do you want to see on screen, if they weren't doomed to be butchered? Leave a comment below and I'll check out your blog!

  1. The Book Thief has already been made into a movie! You should definitely check out the trailer - it gave me shivers it was so good. Hopefully the entire film will be as good as those few minutes.
I definitely agree with you about the HoN books - that would make an awesome TV show :D
I chose Wither as one of my books for this week's TTT, and I really think that it would make for one awesome dystopian film. It's not your typical YA dystopian, and that's why I love it so much.
All Our Yesterdays would of course make an awesome movie.
    Great picks :D

  2. I totally forgot all about Gone! I wasn't a massive fan of the book, but it'd make a brilliant TV series! Daemon on TV, yes please! I'd love a film/TV show of the Lux series. It'd be amazing!
The Infernal Devices! Yes! I'm looking forward to seeing Will more :)
    Great list :D

  3. The Book Thief is coming out soon, I hope they won't ruin the whole story! I'd love to see The Infernal Devices turn into movies :) Nice list!

  4. I didn't participate today, because I so rarely enjoy movies that are based on books I love. TV series is a whole other story, though... even if some of those stray very far from the story in the books as well :) Great list, though!

  5. Obsidian is actually probably gonna be a movie! Film rights have been bought and they're already talking about it. Hopefully by 2015 we'll have one :)
Gone made my list too, it would be so great as a TV show <3
And I really need to read All Our Yesterdays, I've heard so much about it.
    Great list!

  6. I'm reading All Our Yesterdays right now and I totally agree! It would make a great film! And I almost picked Obsidian, but it was already picked to become a movie so I decided against it! Great picks!

  7. Gone would be such a fantastic TV show. I am half way through the series, but I would 100% watch that epicness.
