Waiting on Wednesday (#21)

Waiting on Wednesday' is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Now a lot of people know I'm a sucker for dystopian novels, but what I don't think a lot of people realize is that I also adore just simply young adult novels that reflect actual current teenage lives. And when I found this  book, I knew I just had to read it someday. Today, I am waiting on Nobody by Us by Kristin Halbrook.

Bonnie and Clyde meets Simone Elkeles in this addictively heart-wrenching story of two desperate teenagers on the run from their pasts.

They’re young. They’re in love. They’re on the run.

Zoe wants to save Will as much as Will wants to save Zoe. When Will turns eighteen, they decide to run away together. But they never expected their escape to be so fraught with danger....

When the whole world is after you, sometimes it seems like you can’t run fast enough.

Now come and tell me you don't want to read it, too! The romantic in me thinks this is just so cute - running away together, so they can be together. It's a bit Romeo and Juliet, doesn't it? They want to escape their past and just be together. But of course it isn't going to go smoothly - and I am desperate to find out what happens! Almost as desperate as I am to find out what they are running from...

From the simple synopsis, Halbrook already has me hooked on this book. The publication is expected to be January 29th 2013, and I seriously cannot wait! I hope you now can't wait either!

So what are you waiting on? Don't forget to join our international giveaway - links are in the sidebar!
