Cover Reveal (#6)

OH. MY. DAYS. I have to say, I haven't been this excited for a cover reveal in ages - but it's finally here! The cover for Crown of Midnight, the sequel to Sarah J. Maas' Throne of Glass, has finally been unveiled - and isn't it awesome?

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

I honestly love the themes between the two covers, as I think they are a foreshadow of what the book might involve - for example (leaving out spoilers) ToG is about Celaena going to the castle made of glass and battling other warriors for the title - CoM, I think, will be more about the fighting and blood, hence the red. I also love how the cover artist has managed to make Celaena look beautiful but deadly at exactly the same time - the girl on the cover is the girl I have in my head when I read the books. I honestly cannot wait for Crown of Midnight to be released. If you haven't read Throne of Glass yet, then add it to your TBR piles and buy it asap! You won't regret it! Here's the synopsis to Crown of Midnight from Goodreads:

An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.

Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.

Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?
