Waiting on Wednesday (#33)

Waiting on Wednesday' is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I am waiting on Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano.

Perfect Ruin (Internment Chronicles, #1)
On Internment, the floating island in the clouds where 16-year-old Morgan Stockhour lives, getting too close to the edge can lead to madness. Even though Morgan's older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. She tries her best not to mind that her life is orderly and boring, and if she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in best friend Pen and her betrothed, Basil.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially when she meets Judas. He is the boy being blamed for the murder — betrothed to the victim — but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find — or who she will lose.

I loved the Chemical Garden trilogy (even though I have yet to read Sever), so when I found out that she was going to be releasing a new series, I immediately added it to my TBR list. However, this was before I even read the synopsis, and when I did...urgh. It just made me want it even more. No, scratch that - I need it! There are floating islands! And floating islands! And did I mention that THERE ARE FLOATING ISLANDS?! And the cover is gorgeous and perfect and it's out in October which is a gorgeous and perfect month and everything is gorgeous and perfect and I am excited.

So what are you guys waiting on this week? Leave a comment below with your blog link and I'll check it out! And don't forget to enter the giveaway.
