Waiting on Wednesday (#15)

Waiting on Wednesday' is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

So I'm guessing that everyone knew that after yesterday's Cover Reveal, what I am waiting on this week is Hidden by P.C. and Kristin Cast.

I have loved the House of Night series since the fifth book came out in paperback, and although there are a lot of fans that have dropped out of it, saying it's been dragged out too long, I'm still pretty faithful. Whilst I do agree that it could have ended in about six books, I have to admit that there is something incredibly unique and hooking about the series - probably because there hasn't been another like this. I really want to know what will happen to the Nerd Herd in the end, and as the battle is just about reaching it's climax, I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation! Hurry up October! Here's the Goodreads synopsis:

Neferet’s true nature has been revealed to the Vampyre High Council, so Zoey and the gang might finally get some help in defending themselves and their beloved school against a gathering evil that grows stronger every day. And they’ll need it, because Neferet’s not going down without a fight. Chaos reigns at the House of Night.

So what are you waiting on this week? Leave a comment below!

  1. I agree completely Nina! The series could have ended before Tempted, no real need to continue (other than the fact that they'd already been contracted 12 books...) however, I like what has come out of the new books. I just need to re-read the series, finally read Destined so I'm all ready for Hidden!

    1. Yeah, I heard about the contract, so admittedly did make me like it a bit more, in a way. I have to say, Destined was a lot better than the last few - like Tempted, Burned and Awakened.

  2. I haven't read any of the books in this series though I've been told they are good...I'll start at the beginning...I do think the cover is lovely.

    1. They are really good :) I'd suggest maybe waiting until all 12 books are out, and then reading them all in order, because honestly? I've forgotten most of what happened in the first few books.

  3. Haha I am one of those traitors that dropped the series. I think I read up to book four and couldn't stick with any more. My best friend, however, LOVES this series it's one of her favourites and she's been anxious for any news about the upcoming book. She's going to be so happy when I show her the cover and synopsis.

    1. It's quite good, I have to say. Maybe wait until all 12 books are out, and then read through them? Otherwise it's very confusing D:

  6. I read until the 6th or 7th, but afterwards, the series just ended up being too long for me. I hope you enjoy this one, though! :)

Thanks for following and checking out my WoW - followed you back! ;)

  7. I do think the series has been dragged out too long but I don't want to leave the series unfinished so I will probably borrow this book from the library when it comes out. Thanks for stopping by!
