Waiting on Wednesday' is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
I keep being reminded that this book is actually being released this year, which I am super excited about! I wanted to wait a while until I had read the previous installment, but I can't nip in my excitement any longer. This week, I am waiting on Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick.
I've loved this series ever since Hush, Hush was released, and I bought Crescendo, the sequel, as soon as a could, as well as Silence, which is the third and most recent installment. However, I have yet to get around to reading it; I haven't read the series in so long, I can only remember vague parts of the storyline. Ultimately, I think during the few weeks before Finale's release (which is set for October 23rd 2012) I will reread the first two novels and will read the third, just in time for the end of the series.
So even though I'm not as up-to-date about this series as I could be, I'm still really excited! If you haven't read the Hush, Hush series, you must ASAP! Fitzpatrick is a really good writer, and I find that her cliffhangers are brilliant but bearable, and make you want to keep on reading. I can tell this will be a definite book spotlight for 2012! Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen Angel or not, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean that they will always be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. And yet their biggest challenge lies ahead. Can their love survive a seemingly insurmountable divide? The lines are drawn, but it's unclear which sides have been taken. And in the end, will there be enough trust left to rebuild what has been broken?

(P.S. - Isn't the cover gorgeous? I love the black, white and red theme!)
